I am new to all this, but my current theory is that the weirdos run to the internet because the regular world sees at them as they are... weirdos. so they hide in their weirdo communities, and if normal people are around, they block them because they know we will call them weirdos, and that would be too heavy for them. they can never accept they are weird, everyone else is wrong.
