Affinity

#Canva has just made @affinity one single app.

Well, many issues are to assess:
— Free-for-life: for how long?
— EPUB export: generating files that conform to the EPUB 3 specifications?
— IDML export: why still not possible? The integration with #Adobe workflows (mainly #InDesign) doesn't work!
— Styles (paragraph, character, table, cell, block, etc.): bullet proof?
— Does it work on Wine (GNU/Linux)?

Looking for any benchmark.

@affinity To first come to know the new Affinity by Canva, can I run it on my computer parallel with V2?

I know there is barely anyone here, but maybe some of you want to chime in with predictions of what is going to be announced next week.

There is of course the much feared subscription model which will most likely kill most of Affinity's popularity.

I really hope the freedom refers to v3 supporting Linux. It is a slim chance but it would further hit the niche of people who want to get away from closed ecosystems like Adobe or Apple.

So I went to Miata’s at the Gap, running the Tail of the Dragon along with a couple thousand other Miata’s and had a blast. But when I got the pics from Killboy, the color of my car is just washed out and wrong. It really bugs me because the Soul Red Crstyaline is such a pretty color. Here’s what the color should actually look like:

Is there a way in Affinity Photo to fix this? I’m on iPad Pro btw.

I was editing a design last night on my iPad. It was fairly simple, resize 2 shapes. But there was no snap while doing so. I tried both with my finger and pencil.

I ended up having to use the axis coordinates to get the correct size and placement, it took far longer than it should have to make such a simple edit.

Anyone know where/how to enable the snap?
