Hi everyone.

The main motivation for this is that lemmy.world hosts most of the communities in the fediverse, so it's a large point of failure.
They also have some performance issues sometimes because of their size.

There's also recently been some drama about a mod in !yepowertrippinbastards@lemmy.dbzer0.com : https://lemmy.world/post/36059687

What do you guys think?
The main issue is that we could lose a lot of subscribers, since there isn't any migration function in lemmy yet. Some people may not see the post announcing a move, and not subscribe to the new community.

If you guys decide to move it, this community will be locked, and a post will be pinned to redirect people to the new community.

I'd also like some suggestions for what the new server could be.

Allegedly you can skip the ad if you pay, which I'm assuming is a subscription of some sort.

This screenshot and similar ones have been circulating with concerns that these chatbots are dangerously sycophantic.

“Cognizant was not duped by any elaborate ploy or sophisticated hacking techniques,” according to a copy of the lawsuit reviewed by Reuters. “The cybercriminal just called the Cognizant Service Desk, asked for credentials to access Clorox’s network, and Cognizant handed the credentials right over.”
