For those who didn’t know, I am a 29-year old gamer and college student. I was diagnosed with autism since early age.

I am very dependent on my pension and my aunt on my budget, however most of it went for food. So I have set this fundraising to help me cover college-related fees, free tuition couldn’t cover beyond intended purpose.

Today, my brother and I find ourselves in urgent need of support, especially for settling post-college and burial-related expenses.

I’m still waiting for my disability benefit appeal, the last I heard from them they said it was delayed due to a backlog. So I still really need help getting food as I have no income.

I tried everything before finding mutual aid - the food bank only lets you go three times every 6 months (and only give three days of food each time), so is no use for staying fed. The cancer charity macmillan no longer give grants and my local council offer no help in this situation. I've maxxed out my overdraft and in the end, after selling all my belongings, out of pure desperation I started shoplifting food from my local supermarket.

Mutual aid is the only way I have to stay fed. But the British government love to make disabled people’s lives a misery as much as possible, so they are also checking everyone’s bank accounts to make sure we don’t have unexplained sources of income. So I don’t feel safe accepting actual money.

I spent a long time without health insurance just eating the cost, and chipping away at the balance when I could. Now that ive got insurance, I owe them 875, but can keep seeing them if I make good faith payments. The balance will go up slower than i can pay it off now that visits arent over 100 bucks a pop, but i gotta throw something at them to keep the next appointment. Anything helps!

Comrades, I'm still in need of a phone so I can work. I am between clients and applied at a second agency, which requires two different apps, one to clock in and out, another to record notes in the ehr, and I simply don't have the room and my device is busted up pretty badly besides. Hi everyone, I know we're all feeling the crunch and the timing is stellar. I finally got a "real job" and am working on getting regular hours, and now... My device is nearly unusable, but my job depends on it. It came preinstalled with a ton of bloatware I can't uninstall, and it's been dropped several times. If anyone could possibly send me an unlocked phone, with a decent amount of storage and no bloat, I have access to a post office box and will be deeply grateful. I'm not that picky, it just needs to be usable in the USA.

I'm going through a disability benefit appeal and mutual aid is the only thing that's been keeping me fed. My overdraft is already maxxed out, I've got no-one else to ask for help. I've written many times about the difficulty of accessing the food bank.
