Inspired by this post and the complaint about jpeg artifacts:

Stable Diffusion models were refusing to actually add flames to the bird, so I went with Dalle and then outpainted with RealCartoon3D v12.

Prompt: cockatiel phoenix, flame on head, Fiery orange and yellow plumage, defiant gaze towards the viewer, perched on a smoldering branch, dusk lighting, shadowed forest background, faint glow of flames, scattered ashes in the air, singed feathers, intense eye contact
