Title says it all!? I'm a reddit refuge and picked this instance because it's A) Canadian (I'm in MN, so consider myself an honorary Canadian), and B) The clean energy thing.

Applied to Beehaw but never heard back. Dittos on Lemmy.ML!

So hoping this is going to be a great "home" away from Reddit for the foreseeable future.

After 30 minutes of floundering about, I think I'm finally starting to get how lemmy works. I really hope this takes off so here I am contributing to the noise :D

Do you know how to subscribe to other communities from different instances?

I want to sub to the selfhosted community in another instance but not sure how to.

Edit: I figured it out, when viewing the list of communities, you have to select the option that says "all" instead of the "local" option.
