Wants to get his shit together -- becomes a plumber.

[-] nifty@lemmy.world 97 points 7 months ago

Plumbers make bank, they’re in demand a lot

[-] MeDuViNoX@sh.itjust.works 89 points 7 months ago

They literally keep the shit of other people together... I don't know why I thought the people of green text would get the joke.

Aaah I am dense, thanks

FYI wasn’t criticizing you, was just saying

[-] Croquette@sh.itjust.works 9 points 7 months ago

It took me a double read to get the joke. I'm dumdum

[-] sexual_tomato@lemmy.dbzer0.com 40 points 7 months ago

Now he's getting other people's shit together

[-] Screemu@lemmy.dbzer0.com 12 points 7 months ago

At any time he can lay a deuce in one of them pipes and get paid for it too.

Trades like plumber, electricians, etc make good money. Especially if they unionize and get that OT.

[-] PhlubbaDubba@lemm.ee 16 points 7 months ago

Problem is breaking into them

Everyone wants more tradesmen but none of the current tradesmen want to train any

[-] MintyFresh@lemmy.world 13 points 7 months ago

They're desperate now days. When I was younger and 20ish I tried breaking in and was basically told if I didn't have a friend or family in to forget about it. I eventually found myself a niche in the trades, but it was rough and not what I wanted. Now we're facing this demographic shift away from the boomers and because they where dicks about it then, it's a thing now.

I encourage any young person reading this who feels the slightest inclination to make a circut of their local union halls.

[-] MindTraveller@lemmy.ca 10 points 7 months ago

And crucially, they keep everyone's shit together

[-] Big_Boss_77@lemmynsfw.com 14 points 7 months ago

I mean... if you're going to start getting shit together... there are worse places to start.

[-] MeDuViNoX@sh.itjust.works 9 points 7 months ago

The only other better option for keeping shit together would be waste water management.

[-] uis@lemm.ee 4 points 7 months ago

But waste water managment ends in treatment plant, which separates shit altogether.

[-] MeDuViNoX@sh.itjust.works 4 points 7 months ago

But it keeps the shit together.

[-] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 9 points 7 months ago

Now he can get other people's shit together, too.

[-] MehBlah@lemmy.world 7 points 7 months ago

anon is still slinging that crack.

[-] uis@lemm.ee 3 points 7 months ago

Yeah. I wonder, what future generations will see in 4chan archives.

[-] Habahnow@sh.itjust.works -4 points 7 months ago

Lol bro, you obviously don't know shit about plumbing if you think they can't have their shit together. They can make crazy bank.

[-] SnugZebras@lemmy.blahaj.zone 27 points 7 months ago

I think the joke is plumbers deal with shit, not that they have low pay

[-] MeDuViNoX@sh.itjust.works 8 points 7 months ago

I fell like you didn't read the comment I was referring to

[-] MeDuViNoX@sh.itjust.works 7 points 7 months ago

My comment or the one that commented on it? I read both, I dunno.

[-] loudWaterEnjoyer@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 6 months ago* (last edited 6 months ago)

No he meant the other comment from the commenter that commented on the comment of the other comment.

[-] MindTraveller@lemmy.ca 5 points 7 months ago

You're saying MeDuViNox didn't read their own comment? Bold assertion
