Food companies all claimed their products critical because ... Russians would starve without them, I guess? Considering the type of foods produced by Unilever (i.e. powderized garbage and snacks), I have my doubts though.

Bullshit. Most even halfway-decent companies left. Unilever is run by complete bastards.

A large percentage of the international food system is controlled by these companies:

  • Nestle - did not leave Russia
  • Danone/Dannon - did not leave Russia for a long time but has apparently sold the business now
  • Mars - did not leave Russia
  • Unilever - did not leave Russia
  • PepsiCo - did not fully leave Russia
  • Coca-Cola - did not fully leave Russia
