I really enjoyed reading this when it came out. Nick's other essays are also good
What i wonder is if we take like ansyn revolution, its basically this (decentralized associations). if we add like 5 years of fierce negotiations over payscales between different associations (and society can survive constant shenanigans). I don't think its so out of reach
