Yes and yes and I would eat more if my wife didn't threaten to leave me if I started farming them.

Edit: accepting tips from anyone who has experience hiding entomophagy from one's spouse.

I've had mealworms and cricket flour. If you toast them meal worms taste like sunflower seeds, cricket flour tastes like whatever you bake it into, there isn't really any noticeable flavor.
