The problem is that there are some issues which will not be solved by the app like links to posts on another instances
In a browser this can be solved with a userscript. Could the same be done within an app?
Ok. So that's one thing sync can't do. Are you dismissing it based on one feature?
I'm saying that it is not going to be the lemmy UX savior
Idk, that's one pretty minor inconvenience imo. I wouldn't be surprised if the links can be corrected by the app anyways since there are some browser extensions/scripts that can do it on desktop. It's not an unsolvable problem.
