Anyone installed calyxOS on a Motorola G32? I have a 8/256GB version locally available for $150 NiB. SD680 isn't the most awesomest of SoC and the screen is IPS, but I'd swallow that if it works without issues. Thanks!

Done. Flashed it on my new device last night from a Linux Mint machine and everything went super smoothly - quite surprising considering I'd had a few drinks and wasn't quite firing on all cylinders. Calyx is a sweet OS. I was going to leave the install until I was more sober but just switching on my new phone with the default Google Android booting up boiled my piss so much I had to get the offending item removed as quickly as possible. To clarify, my last phone was still running Google but I'd tweaked it so much over the years that I'd forgotten how intrusive it used to be. I'd go as far as to say that flashing the device with CalyxOS was considerably quicker than just simply booting up the phone for the first time. Really straightforward, no issues, just followed the instructions exactly. One last thing to do to eradicate Google from my life entirely: delete my Gmail account.

very cool, thanks for following up. is that the 8 GB variant? what was the total damage?

there's an army of people parroting that the only way out of Google's grasp is to buy a Google phone and flash GrapheneOS, so it's good there's an alernative, and a way cheaper one at that.

edit: if time permits, maybe create a new post, a week or a month down the line with impressions after use?

4 GB at £95. Not a scratch on it. Like I assumed, somebody's unwanted purchase that was returned with the packaging opened.

I have to say that I like some of the features on Calyx. It's like a breath of fresh air in comparison to stock Google Android.
