On theme shave today. Proraso Red smells like the hot dry forest floor in the forest where I grew up. A thick layer of dry brown pine needles and pine twigs with boulders of Jurassic limestone poking through. It reminds me of sneaking up on the enemy fortress on all fours in capture-the-flag games as a cub scout.
The pretty and new-to-me frameback that so stubbornly resisted honing did a better job than I feared. I clearly need to figure out how to hone it better, but I'm close, and it gives acceptable shaves.
