We don't even have neons
We have LED lighting in forms and brightnesses unimaginable in the 1980s, including multiple element diodes to make any light any color at any time.
Major cities have LED street lamps that are old enough that they're failing with a deep blue/purple color. Those sections of streets are pretty cyberpunk.
