An image from the comic book "Deadpool". The title character adresses a shark on four legs with a knife in his mouth: "Blahaj, you are honor bound to protect trans kids. Can you handle that?" The shark replies: "Mrrrrr."
Yeah, that was my initial reaction too. Such meta jokes would be 100% in line with what current Deadpool writers do, but I guess Blahaj was not such a trans icon yet when the comic came out originally.
