Hi, I noticed that !honkaistarrail@lemmy.ml is missing posts from the last 2 months. Posts that do exist also have slightly lower vote count than in reality.

I compare by those 3 instances:

https://lemmy.ml/c/honkaistarrail

https://ani.social/c/honkaistarrail@lemmy.ml

https://lemmy.world/c/honkaistarrail@lemmy.ml

Lemmy.ml defederated from ani.social a long time ago.

I suggest using a different account that federates with both instances (like lemmy.world, lemm.ee, lemmy.dbzer0.com, etc). Sorry if it's a bit inconvenient, but there's not much I can do about it.

Oh, good to know it's not a federation issue. Maybe some .ml admins really don't like anime. I've seen some people saying "anime is only porn for degenerates" etc. So maybe that's also the case here.

It's a shame the largest (and the only active community) is on .ml

I'll consider posting on .world community from now on. It shouldn't make much of a difference because it's not like .ml is thriving anyway...

I also thought about creating one here but idk how many people would actually be interested in subscribing and I'm also not that committed to that game but I just like to share some community art with everyone every once in a while.

Re: .ml admins.

The unprovoked drama from the .ml admins became unpleasant to the point where it led to mods resigning and the active users migrating from !anime@lemmy.ml to !anime@ani.social

I hope you can make a better community for HSR over on .world like wsj018 did for anime on this server.

~~I'll be posting on !honkaistarrail@lemmy.world from now on, I hope it will revive it at least a little bit.~~

We've decided, together with @tamlyn@lemmy.zip to create a new community here on ani.social.

!honkaistarrail@ani.social

I have often thought about starting a new community since the world one is dead, but never want to do that alone. If you are up for it we could do one in zip, or ani social. I would post a lot about it as well, since i play hsr since day one. (tamlyn@ani.social is my account)

That sounds good. I definitely can help with administration and just contribute content.
In the .ml community I think I was the only one to post semi regularly since I really enjoy the fan content. Having another person like that would definitely make a healthy community.
I don't know anything about the .zip instance though so in case of possible defederation issues I'd be more comfortable creating community here.
Technically the game isn't japanese but I'd say it's anime enough, no?

This is my ani.social account that i have never used before. So ani.social is fine for me. Technically the game isn't japanese, but hitagi plays genshin, i would suprised if she is against it. I would guess it's anime enough.

@hitagi@ani.social is a honkai star rail community fine for this instance?

[–] hitagi@ani.social 3 points 2 months ago

Anime has such a broad definition nowadays so I think it's fine. There are other instances that can house it as well like lemmy.zip which I think is focused on gaming.
