So what are the (f)actual legalities around the Colesworth exit gates not opening for you. Most importantly, if you decide to push through the when they don't open? I'm not talking about if someone has actually stolen something, I mean if they just don't open and you decide f..k you Colesworth and you push through them.

The gates are tied to the cameras. They do motion tracking and gait recognition (but they swear they don't do facerec) to track you through the store, and attempt to recognise whether you've made a payment. If the system determines you haven't, they don't open.

Jesus fucking christ.

I've seen people just walk out with trolley loads and no one stops them. But the average person gets treated like they're a potential fucking bank robber.
