Unfortunately you have 15 guaranteed lucky trades when you trade old Pokémon, and then it is back to chance.
According to that the limit was bumped to 25. Which takes care of half the trades needed. That also means I just need one other person on five separate days or five people scattered about because you can do five in one day. So the event with the limit it decreases the strain by half.
The "10 trades caught at least 300 km apart" is still a challenge though. I don't remember if I used my second account when traveling.
Yeah sorry for misinformation then, I thought the 25 limit was temporary for that event only.
It was information I didn't have.
