This is where you come to post big-brained hot takes by chuds, libs, or even fellow leftists, and tear them to itty-bitty pieces with precision dunkstrikes.

This is what The_Dunk_Tank is for. It's the entire point of this section of the site.
Worked super well with 4chan's "containment theory" of /pol/ didn't it?
I don't think Hexbear not talking about chuds would make any real difference to chuds compared to talking about them in a section specifically designed to talk about them.
It's a little cathartic.
We don't get that many opportunities to indulge it.

But you aren't having any effect over the poster because you aren't responding to them and you are discussing it with people who already think like you.

In its ideal form the_dunk_tank is a targeted harassment incubator. If you don't like that, I can go in-depth on our instance's "Post"-based posting rules for you.
I think there is some value in encountering these takes with a group of like minded people as opposed to seeing it out in the wild. Maybe it's sorta like mild exposure therapy. There might but more productive ways to engage with it but I wouldn't really know.
Normally I'd agree, but these idiots are armed and dangerous.
All they need is for Trump to give them the signal, and they'll start shooting their neighbors. These idiots should be treated like the terrorists they are.
Because dunking is funny
Making social change requires three things:
--Turn supporters into leaders
--Turn fence-sitters into supporters
--Isolate the opposed
This does all three. It lets supporters come into leadership by leading the bullying. It lets fence-sitters read the room and decide they don't want to be bullied. It isolates clowns who think like this by making them the target of ridicule.
This is actually the most productive comment I've ever seen justifying political circlejerking. Im not 100% sure about it because im not educated for it but well done lol.
