I’m constantly questioning whether I’m just getting old and wary of change or if things like foldable phone screens are actually a stupid gimmicky waste of money.
Gimmick for me. I like innovation but I don't see the point here. The rectangle shape was almost perfect from the start like a TV or any screen. You can't really improve this except by using new magical technology like holograms or brain implants.
Also all foldable phones do break around me for those who bought them. Doubly stupid idea.
so far its very niche. i'm glad they are still experimenting with fundamental designs. but for me i'd rather they dig towards google cardboard type dev for occasional vr use.
