I consider to switch to Fairphone from iPhone, what should I need to know? Is it possible to get it work without Google account? Or is it better to switch to another operating system as well?

@UpperBroccoli Supposedly the actions taken by the CEO, the slow update cycle, inclusion of MicroG with no clear opt-out, and similar. I can't find the toot I saw just last week while searching for it right at the moment.
