They're throwing LGBTQIA+ people under the truck because it's a polarizing issue and it distracts people from the fact that the rich are fucking all of us over and capitalism is destroying this planet. It's pretty much the same with abortion rights. They don't give a shit if you're gay or trans or whatever. But making your life fucking miserable distracts us from all the other damage they do. So we should fight for LGBTQIA+ rights, and abortion rights, but we should also finally fucking start to EAT THE RICH.
