Had a few days off so binged the first two seasons of the show. It is really fun. Has got me itching to play Mass Effect 2.

Absolutely my favorite sci fi series (tied with Three Body Problem actually) of all time and I'm a 40 year old nerd, I was reading Asimov when I was like 13.

Have you checked out the Red Rising series? Closer to space opera than hard sci-fi, but is pretty good and has a fair amount of leftist themes.
