Yes we've all pretty much known this for a long while, the entire reason why we all know not a single politician actually gives a shit about it, beyond increasing the suffering.
What I mean just in case anyone is mistaking what I'm saying, is that if someone actually gave a damn about the non-issue that is immigration, they'd be shouting from the rooftops that the government should go after anyone who 'employs illegal immigrants' with an iron fist. So yeah, we've all known it's about maintaining cheap labor.
