Early morning movie review

Three Billboards outside Ebbing, Missouri

I finished watching the other day and can't stop thinking about it.

It's about grief and justice.

4 hobbits

I am not sure how I felt about it in the end. I'm glad I watched it but... yeah. Similar story with Nomadland. Keep thinking about that one too.

I just read the wikipedia article because I'm terrible at watching movies lately and... just... huh?

wikipedia wont convey the atmosphere all that well. the movie is 90% mood.

I think I think about it because it's like real life in that life doesn't make sense to us all the time and questions can go unanswered

that's the thing, why ask questions, what can we do with answers,

are we trying to change the past, bring people back from the dead and do we believe in the Just World Fallacy , what is justice anyway

a lot of people in law pursue justice as an act of caring toward the victim

my take was it was something she could control. the chase for justice was within her power to do. Taking action is often easier than doing nothing.

That's one of my favourite movies, it's so well done and the acting is phenomenal

Martin McDonagh is a fucking legend.

Agreed, Seven Psychopaths is a fucking amazing film. Another favourite of mine. In Bruges is a classic, and I've yet to see Banshees of Inisherin but it's on my watchlist.

I'm due a rewatch of all of them. Banshees in particular. I think there was a fair bit of subtext I missed first time around.
