I love wearing platform boots, but its the summer now, How can I keep wearing them in this heat 😥? (lemmy.ml)

Do I cut holes in them to let air in?
Do I buy new ones with light weight breathable material?
Do I buy croc-platforms?
Do I buy anti-perspirants?
Do I add air cooling or water cooling?
Buy platforms shoes instead of boots?

What do I do 😭?

I don't want to go back to sneakers (I am tired of them), and I am too self-conscious to wear sandles or open top heals.

Also, are croc-platforms really a thing?

Edit: And, to actually be helpful, have you considered something like this?

To further elaborate the stilts allow for plenty of room to run a cooling loop which could probably be run by a pump powered of your foot steps. Radiating away the heat might be a bit difficult, running a fan on your shoes might look a bit weird. Or it's just kinda a vibe and you run the fan of the water pressure from the foot step powered pump.

I'd actually love to see this done. Props to anyone who pulls it of

There's closed-toe sandals, no? Maybe those aren't called sandals...
