- Posts and comments judging group of people in negative way based on stereotype will be removed.
- No posts with toxic positivity. All human emotions are valid.
- Staight up doomer/doomer-trolling comments will be removed. Reasonable disscustion and asking for hope is fine.

I have to admit.. I am actually sometimes very lazy.
I'll text my son to come to the living room, because I don't wanna get up and turn the light off 😈
Home automation could save you multiple button presses each day.
Signed,
Fellow lazy person.
I would love that but my apartment is of historical value and we aren't allowed to change or update anything 🥲
Bummer. Can they stop you from buying a desk or floor lamp and installing a smart bulb?
Is it that easy? Idk a lot about this stuff, but I'm not even allowed to hang pictures without written concent.
Yep, it doesn't take more than a few minutes to set one up. You don't even need a central hub anymore, just wifi and a smartphone.
Oh! I've actually tried this once! I had just forgotten xD
Unfortunatly it didn't work, our wifi iirc 2.5 and for the light we needed 5
A WiFi extender that, properly configured, will re-broadcast your existing network and/or a separate 2.4GHz signal is about $25.
wym "anything"? you can't install new bulbs and just have to live in the darkness if they ever break?
presumably there's actually fair bit of things you can modify, especially since it doesn't have to be even remotely permanent.
