Sweden is basically a showcase of everything from soul-crushing car-centric suburbia to places very close to what you'll find in the netherlands, and i can fucking feel this difference in the air.

The nice human-friendly places have this ineffable atmosphere of calm old-timeyness, you viscerally feel more friendly when you're there. You can be in the middle of gothenburg, in some of the most densely populated areas of the entire country, and it has the vibe of a small village.

i have the wifi thing on lineageos, and the smart switch thing should be 90% recreatable by just making a backup and then restoring from that backup on the new device.

I do actually think most people want to see poor people hurt, just in very passive detached ways.
They want poor people to not be allowed to have fun, to be forced into borderline slave labour, etc.

i too like pulling out a cable and turning my retina into a molten goop

Yes but only very slowly, i think the vast majority of those who were ever going to move did so already. What remains are people who just didn't know lemmy exists or who are generally slow to change.

this is like complaining about tractors being outdated and clunky, buddy you're not the target audience

because a fucking depressing amount of computers are still running old windows versions for compatibility reasons, and it would be really nice if we could eventually replace it with something that isn't a leaking sieve in terms of security.
