It didn't. Not even close. It failed 121-11

Those 11 were members of the party that proposed it, and every other party voted against it unanimously.

The beauty of it all is that the actual step back for the treaty happened in the resource management act changes, while everyone was focused on the treaty principles bill.

Thanks for letting me know. I'm not from NZ but I met some Maori years ago doing a tour and thought that they were really cool and awesome people. So even though I'm not from around there or directly affected I still like showing support when I can.
