A good chain tensioning mechanism is very critical to effective single speed or fixed gear riding. Horizontal dropouts don't fair well with extreme torque inputs without some form of axle controlling mechanism to hold things in the correct place.

Also as a fan of large volume tires, more fixie folks need to get into tracklocross frames. Trying to squeeze anything above ~32mm into track frames is usually counterproductive.

You mean like putting all your bodyweight into torquing your axle bolts down right?

Something like this if the frame doesn't have axle alignment screws built in. Mostly only needed on the drive side since that is where the majority of torque is applied. Bottle opener function is just a nice bonus.
