Yes. It was the largest protest movement in US history and it did precisely nothing to stop police brutality.
I think it did more than nothing but I wouldn’t consider it a full success. Many police departments reformed their policies and a lot of cops did quiet quitting which meant less policing for a while. But yeah those are small gains I’d say.
If anything it did less than nothing. The police are more militarised than ever.
Well, that was an ongoing process already. I think in the hypothetical where the protests never happened, we'd probably be even further along in that way.
Maybe, but it's an unprovable counterfactual. It's certainly rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.
