Officials said the gunman may be wearing body armor and impersonating a police officer. Several public officials suggested that lawmakers had been targeted in the Minneapolis suburbs.

Local coverage, also in the form of a gift link - uses a URL shortener because the Minneapolis Star-Tribune uses utm_source=gift on URLs to mark gift links, and lemmy removes that URL parameter.
