ok I have a very similar build and I zoomed in on both fenders what the heck am I missing? am I going to die too?

That's the same video, but keep a close eye on the fender mounts and consider swapping the bolts on either side with plastic zip ties that snap in a failure.

On mine, it was the top mount that failed.
