in my case I'm pretty sure it's because I was shipped off to daycare way early by my parents and imprinted on a Portuguese woman in a year well before it was fashionable for women to remove every visible hair on their body from the nose down 🤷

(yes I lived in an area with a ton of people of Portuguese descent and yes the women of such descent tend to be hairy, among other clues which lead me to suspect this)
