My father once farted just before exiting the elevator of a famous European landmark (~~Eiffel Tower?~~), and turned around just in time to see a hapless woman fanning her hand in front of her face as the doors closed. He thought it was hilarious.

Edit: It was the clock tower in Marienplatz.
