Eh, a stripped lower still has a FFL fee.
You can usually get a complete lower with brace/grip for <75 at a local store and not pay the FFL.
Ends up being close to the same price, but you get a lot more.
They've had good deals on 300 BLK uppers recently, but I know if I do that I'll regret not getting one of the 300 AUGs instead.
But one of PSA's uppers and a local complete lower is a damn good deal.
My FFL only charges $30 for transfers and I probably have enough spare parts lying around that I could build another complete rifle with just a barrel and stripped upper purchase.
Pretty much did that years ago and gave the rifle as a birthday gift to a friend looking to buy their first AR-15.
