VW makes some of the best affordable EV cars in Europe.
I don't like the subscription thing and I too consider it definitely a minus, but AFAIK they are only considering it, and it's an experiment reserved for UK only.
So maybe they should take a pass on the single model affected in the UK, but for other models and the rest of the world, it would send a very confusing message boycotting the entire brand for something only occurring for one model in one country.
On another Note Tesla has hijacked peoples cars just for writing a bad review! So effectively you don't own a Tesla. And FSD has been an expensive subscription for years although all cars are equipped with the hardware for it.
Absolutely boycott a car that has subscription services if you want, but don't boycott for something completely irrelevant to the model you may want or your country.
