Soft and bendy? In my experience, consistency varies randomly from "near-liquid" through "soft and bendy" to "will stand up on its own". Also, it cannot be stored with other yarn, as it may unravel, tangle, or try to eat it.

I also have noticed about the storage thing, it's not very cooperative. I assume it must stick somehow to things like blankets and cushions, it seems to stay on that kind of surfaces a bit longer than others.
