I hate the term “quiet quitting”, like it puts the blame on employees.

Quiet quitting is burnout and lack of motivation.

Both of those things are management’s job to manage.

If your employees are “quiet quitting” it’s 100% because you are making them miserable. It means you’re a shit manager or boss and you should be fired.

Sometimes people go through a rough patch, that’s not quite quitting. Help them through it.

Nah, it's just doing your job, and not anyone else's, and then going home.

e: One might also consider this "minimizing the exploitation by no longer doing extra work without compensation".
