Miez has gotten quite good at rodent control, and she is neat about it, too. Unfortunately she still prefers chicken cat food over mouse.

German: Miez ist gut im mausen und dabei sehr ordentlich. Aber Katzenfutter aus Huhn schmeckt ihr leider doch besser.
Probably depends on the cat, I had a cat that wouldn't always eat what he hunted, but the rest would get dissected and the body parts organized in creepy ways, don't think he was letting any go for lack of hunger

It always makes me imagine what woukd happen if cats had become the dominant species on Earth instead, and taken to the stars. They'd be almost like the Daleks - they'd be a murderous technocracy ruled by a priesthood of scientists who demand new aliens to dissect, regularly.
But still so cute.
We had lots of cats when I grew up. Quite a few selected carefully what parts of mice they ate and which they didn't. Like, down to the organ carefully.
