I went to the Củ Chi tunnels in Vietnam as a tourist, and was there with a bunch of Americans. Most of them started crying while they were there and felt horrible that their country was involved in something so awful and horrible.
A lot of those same people voted for Trump.
Americans...i'll never understand them.
They... showed reflection, empathy, and regret? I don't think those specific Americans did vote for Trump.
They only know shame when told their country was shameful. They do not have the judgement to know how to feel about a thing until they are told.
