The picture was from an interview days after the United Healthcare CEO was shot but before Luigi was arrested. Thiel loves being cruel so seeing someone killed for doing what he does put some politeness into him and his body is rejecting it.

Most of the people supporting anti immigration politicians are ignorant of the causes of their grief and only know the system isn't working so a solution that breaks the system looks like a fix. If that means other are rendered as powerless as they are then so be it. That's equality.

The other half is that they only get their information about the world from right wing sources intent on lying to their audience for gentle conformity. They simply don't know better. Breaking down their information bubble will solve a lot.

All cuisine from all countries restarted 500 years ago. Korea didn't have chili peppers, Russia didn't have tea or potatoes, no one had coffee, it's amazing how much of our cultural identity is firmed up after a few generations.
