An anti-immigrant Neo-Nazi rally took place in Ukraine with the slogans "Ukraine for Ukrainians" and "Sieg Heil".

Visible are the red and black OUN flag (WWII Nazi collaborator organization responsible for pogroms and massacres) as well as Right Sector and Svoboda (far right Neo-Nazi organizations that led the 2014 Maidan coup):

Basically this. Any possibility of larger resistance died when the mainstream german left embraced Ukraine.

Yep. Yet another opportunist German left betrayal of workers in favor of imperialist warmongering. Strong echoes of SPD voting for WWI war funds.
