Oh an amusing comment about joining other nations where it's not 'we will make you one of us' like our direct neighbors have been making lately, from the dude with no humour whatsoever. Know I've said it before on here but will do again, I've always felt closer in values and ideals that match the EU. Being a part of EU may help for more policies that help people rather than try and compete with the US. They obviously don't want consensual cooperation. Unpack the last line as you prefer, probably close enough.
