General community for news/discussion in the UK.

Less serious posts should go in !casualuk@feddit.uk or !andfinally@feddit.uk
More serious politics should go in !uk_politics@feddit.uk.

Try not to spam the same link to multiple feddit.uk communities.
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.

Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.

Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

It's not entitled to expect to get what I pay for

And I'm not even expecting flawless. I'm just expecting it to work enough to be able to do my job

The second half is such a non sequitur that you might as well be trolling

Trains often go in places it's unreasonable to expect a signal to reach very well. Like underground or surrounded by high cliffs.

That's not the route I'm talking about though is it?

Sorry for not having taken every rail in the country? Pretty sure every train I have taken goes through a few tunnels and many areas that geographically are going to be poor signals.

You don't need to, just the one mentioned in my first comment

I'd say 70% of the journey between London and Manchester the signal you get is bad enough that it's unusable.

You then proceeded to tell me I was entitled, despite apparently not knowing what you were talking about
