I have this issue with one game in Windows. It recommends using a controller but fails to recognize my wireless Xbox-One controller. What it does recognize is the same controller plugged in as a USB controller. You might try that.
I would if it weren't plugged into the tv away from me lol. And it's a Zikway, so it uses a USB Bluetooth dongle.
It shouldn't matter if the Bluetooth modem is on a USB thing or not, the os will just see it as any other Bluetooth device.
I'm also using Heroic and have a few wireless controllers lying around, and I see dead rising 2 is available on a certain fit girl's website, I can check if it works here. Then at least you can rule out it being a game-specific bug.
That'd be awesome, and that's where I got it from so
My steam controller didn't work at all, but my FlyDigi controller did work out of the box. Which is weird since both of those should appear as regular xinput controllers...
