United Kingdom
General community for news/discussion in the UK.
Less serious posts should go in !casualuk@feddit.uk or !andfinally@feddit.uk
More serious politics should go in !uk_politics@feddit.uk.
Try not to spam the same link to multiple feddit.uk communities.
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric news, and should be either a link to a reputable source, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread.
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

Same here in the states! Except there are flags in front of essentially every business. You can barely go 3 blocks without seeing multiple american flags. It’s really quite silly. But, a person wearing clothes with an american flag is definitely a (pun intended) huge red flag. I’m sure there are exceptions but from my experience, those are usually the worst people.
Over there, is it more the English flag or the union jack? Or is it a mix of both?
and at every holiday they can bunch of small flags and paper plates and napkins and other trash. its so funny how disrepectful people who love the flag are.
Historically it was the English flag but since brexit it's a mix of both. I have noticed the English nationalists have seemed to join with the Scottish, Welsh and NI nationalists, and outright talking about grouping up that didn't seem to happen before
Considering what’s going on in Belfast, I’m sure that won’t cause any problems anywhere else in the UK.
