Don't downvote.

Don't engage in the gamification of human interaction and expression. Do not engage in the system that has lead to the unraveling of human discourse and the extremity in opinion and interaction in the desperate, dopamine fueled source for more positive feedback that these psychologically exploitative systems have created.

In addition to that, mob mentality rules, and once a certain threshold is hit, people are just gonna keep mashing the stupid up/down thing just because everyone else has, even though they don't have an opinion, and probably didnt even read the conversation to have an opinion on it.
