What to expect switching from Nvidia to AMD Catchy (lemmy.world)

I'm installing an AMD video card into a Catchy OS system that's been running Nvidia. Both are discrete cards.

What should I expect? Obviously I'll have to uninstall the Nvidia stuff. Should I do that before installing the new card?
