When I search for a post the default search filter [the green circle in the attached image] is set to "top post all time". Then I usually click to "new".
But as a lazy user I want that the filter to be set as "new" as the default search filter.

If you enable remember community sort it will remember. But thereโs no way to explicitly configure, or remember search sort while not remembering community sorts.
